Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 released

Hello everyone!

Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 was released Wednesday, November 8th, 2006. If you’re Thunderbird hasn’t asked you update it yet, it should have done so already. You could always do it manually:

  1. Open Thunderbird
  2. Go to Help > Check for Updates
  3. It should check with Mozilla’s site and see the new version. Click on the Install Now button.
  4. Restart Thunderbird when prompted.

Or you could always go download it and install it manually.

The following bugs were fixed in the 1.5.0.8 release:

MFSA 2006-67 Running Script can be recompiled
MFSA 2006-66 RSA signature forgery (variant)
MFSA 2006-65 Crashes with evidence of memory corruption (rv:1.8.0.8)

I don’t about the rest of you, but I’m looking forward to version 2.0, especially if it’s as good as the 2.0 release of Firefox.
