I’m one of those who prefer the orignal text of a reply below my response. I was originally very surprised that I had to edit a text file to change it, it didn’t seem to be that popular that they (the makers of TBird) bothered to put a check box in the options window.

Anyways, this results in my signature going to the very bottom of the replied post, above that is the original post and then above that comes my response, looks kind of silly…

Do you know of a way to fix this? (That is, I’d like the signature to appear right below my response, and then the original post below that…)

    Hey Ari,

I just double checked this to make sure I’d give you the right info. Check out this other article on here and change the setting about replying above or below the original quote. If you change it to putting your response above the quote, your signature will appear above the quote too.

any idea how to force signatures in thunderbird to show email address (i.e. name@domain.com) to

appear as clickable links? Right now, Tbird just shows my email in my sig as plain non-clickable

text. I want to keep the email format plain text, just want the email address in my sig to appear

as a link (same as URLs do, e.g. http://www.domain.com)

I preferred a more artsy signature, so simply pulled up a Word new document, typed it the way I wanted it to appear, in a cool unusual script with ~ on each side of my name ~ and name in blue, ~’s in green. Then saved this document as emailsig.htm onto my desktop. Then went into ‘tools’/ ‘account settings, and checked the box to “attach signature from a file instead” , used the “choose” to select the one I wanted and voila, there it is, eye-catching, fresh, and fun. There is no limit on the possibilities for giving your email accounts great signature lines with some refreshing diversity!

hi I’ve tried this but for some reason cannot get it to work.
Saving my preferred layout as a html file doesn’t display any of the images I embed and the layout comes through all scattered.
Any tips on how you got this to work with a word based html?
    Thanks
